Originally called The First Law of Thermodynamics (energy can be neither created nor destroyed), this steel and glass urn is designed to exhibit the ash remains of a loved one. Maybe it will be a hit with exhibitionists and those out to shock, but our design intent is something different - to not hide the transformation of death - to face a new reality - to feel closer to a loved one. Whatever the draw may be, this is a powerful, beautiful urn and we hope it helps create a healthy dialog about death, the body and how we process grief.

lundgren monuments constructs custom object chambers - the part of the kaleidoscope that defines colors, patterns and light - so they reflect the spirit and favorite colors of the person it memorializes.

It is an unlikely partnership. A steel cube acts as a chamber to hold cremated remains, with a secure port on the underside to transfer the ash. And through the center of this vessel is a solid bronze chamber with a custom designed object chamber (the part that holds pieces of colorful and cut glass). Looking through the eyepiece, the viewer sees an infinite pattern of light and color, something truly magical, inspired and uplifting. It is a hearty functional object and art piece, designed to last centuries. And unfortunately, it’s one of those objects that you really have to witness in real life to see how amazing, and powerful this partnership is.
